Rusty McCarthy - Singer, songwriter, producer, engineer, and one of the finest Blues and Jazz guitarist on the scene today. With a career spanning three decades and sharing the stage with some of the finest performers in the world. As a free-lance guitarist Rusty has played with pop's Alannah Myles, Jerome Godboo, The Blues Brothers, Holly Cole, Molly Johnson, Folk with Colleen Peterson and Katherine Wheatley. His musical projects have him travelling the world, often as band leader and guitarist with Mary Margaret O'Hara. Notable shows were in The Anthology of American Folk Music in London, New York and L.A. TV Appearances include N.B.C.'s Night Music', BBC 'Top of the Pops," and Much Music.

Favourite gigs A Blues tour in Ireland, A UK Tour, Roskilde Festival, Denmark. ATP festival Somerset, UK, Edmonton & Calgary Folk festival, Vancouver Jazz Festival, Wexford Opera Festival Ire., Pop Montreal.

Along the way Rusty has found time to hone his craft as a songwriter - devoting more time to finding his niche in the performance world, and it's being appreciated. CBC's Fresh Air choose Rusty's CD 'Letter to Kilkenny' as artist to watch for. A 2nd Folk /rock CD 'The Journey from Seven Islands' met high acclaim as well. In fact, Rusty has composed scores for BRAVO TV' and Atlantis films 'Apartment Hunting', David Carradine film 'Autumn' and Wallysan Films ISPYDERS.

Rusty released his 7th Blues release ( Messing with The Blues) and this year(2022) a duo release with vibrant singer songwriter Maja Bannerman.
