CityFolk

The re-branded CityFolk festival (formerly the Ottawa Folk Festival) was re-located to its new Lansdowne Park location in 2015, in order to accommodate an ever-growing audience. Attendance in 2015 surpassed the 50,000 mark achieved in 2014. Audience size has increased incrementally since 2011, when the RBC Bluesfest team began managing the event, bringing in a more inclusive approach to programming. “We are very pleased with the transition of CityFolk to the ‘Great Lawn’ at Lansdowne Park,” says the festival’s executive/artistic director Mark Monahan. “Lansdowne Park offers an accessible, world-class venue that we have the privilege to animate, while creating a magical experience for Ottawa music festival goers.”
