I am a Roots, bluegrass/country, Americana, jamming guitar player and song writer from the Toronto area.
Covering a wide range of Americana roots music from bluegrass to country to Appalachian folk music, I’ll draw from the American song book.
I have had a hand in writing and recording a number of albums to date with my band Days of You, The Other One, and I am currently working on an upcoming solo record.
I play frequently around Southern Ontario in the Mark T Band, Whose Cat is Dead, Days of You, WS DUPREE to name a few, and solo acoustic. I have also toured Canada, the Northern US and recorded on many sessions with a wide range of artists.
Ken Magerman - “Mark is a guitar player’s guitar player.”
I am a journeyman, of sorts, having played with a lot of Toronto's performing musicians and played on many recording with a wide range of producers and artists.
I was a founding member of the band The Other One in 1984 and a 'co-conspirator' with Vincent Lowcock and the Mandela system playing to 10,000
people at The Tunnel in New York City.
Played several SEVA Foundation benefits with Wavy Gravy.
Formed 'Days Of You' in 1988 recorded 7 albums and toured Canada and the Eastern US extensively.
Most recently (2016) formed the Mark T Band where we have garnered a substantial following in Canada and have left their mark on several US cities
My focus here is original music with an Americana/roots/folk flavor
