Daniel Bellegarde

Percussionnist, composer and arranger,music collector from Montreal the artist's approach was greatly influenced by musical experiences,travels and multiple collaborations.Daniel focused on composing and arranging musical pieces by updating 19th century Caribbean ballroom dance music.He has self-produced his first album Anba Tonèl (under the arbor) .Behind his drums, Daniel explores the rural world of Caribbean music from European influence. From the contredanse to the quadrille through the minuet congo , the percussionist is accompanied by instruments such like banjo, violin, guitar, dobro ,manouba (bass kalimba) and traditional percussions of the West Indies (tanbou di bass, ti bwa, graj, chacha).
