Brooklyn Doran is an emerging singer-songwriter, originally from Kenora, Ontario and now based in Toronto. Brooklyn's music presents a unique and harmonious blend of indie-folk & contemporary pop influenced heavily by her small town roots and the urban landscape of the city. Her live show weaves song and storytelling, from humorous anecdotes to emotional ballads, to delightfully folk-infused love songs. Her lyrics are honest, vulnerable, and clever, delivering each song with crisp, clear vocals charged with passion and ease.
Brooklyn's debut EP "There's A Light On" (2014) has been featured extensively on radio across Canada including CBC Radio where she was selected as one of the top 25 Toronto artists in the CBC Searchlight competition in 2015. "There's A Light On" has been featured in music publications worldwide, and received a nomination at the Toronto Independent Music Awards for Best Adult Contemporary. Her newest offering "These Paper Wings" (2016) was recorded at Catherine North Studios in Hamilton, ON and was listed as one of the Top 50 albums of 2016 by several music publications worldwide.
Brooklyn's live show has reached stages across Canada including the Trout Forest Music Festival, Festival of Friends, Moose N' Fiddle Music Festival, The Living Roots Music Festival, KOI Music Festival and more.
